Born on the 27th of January 1979, in Toronto Canada. At 13 my parents decided to immigrate back to their home country of Malta, dragging ma and my younger sister along... I've been living in Malta for seven years, during which time (the last three years) I attended a school for graphic design, and attained my certificate in graphic design. During my third year I worked towards obtaining a diploma from the school in graphic design, I had nine months to prepare, and finish a project, with a written thesis. I was to design characters for a video game. Not only did I design four main characters and two handfuls off supporting characters, and not to mention the hordes of creatures, but I also wrote half of the story line, including the cultures of the different societies, and four posters. (But I have to admit the posters aren't all that good, cause I rushed them along) All of this was made into a sort of multi-media package, where all the information and characters are accessed through series of links, sort of like an encyclopedia on c.d. ROM. I put my all into the game, and when it came time to hand in the project, to obtain a diploma in graphic design, I decided not to hand it in. I didn't want to give the school my work; it was mine not thier's. This might sound stupid to you, but the way I see it is why should they own something I worked hard to create...for a diploma? Like a diploma from a school in Malta, especially the school I went to would be recognized abroad. It's not like the teachers were anygood anyway...the art teacher is an amazing artist, he was good, and the photography teacher knew his stuff and was very good, but the computer teacher, now that's a different story. He never showed up for lessons, or when he did we would do nothing. So you see the most important subject in graphic design and I was denied it, the little I know on PhotoShop is all self taught, I just can't wait for the Photoshop5 Wow Book to be released so that I can broaden my horizons. The future.... Well I plan to go back to Canada this fall to continue studying, and because I am sick of Malta. I plan to take a course in computer programming, but I would also like to go more in depth in 3d art, I'm still not sure which of the two I'm aiming for.... well I guess I'll have to wait and see what life throws at me....
